Quick Actions
Tips & Advice
- Book tickets in advance, especially for specific dates or times, as availability is limited and pre-booking is essential.
- Dress warmly as stations and many activities are outdoors, even though the vintage carriages are steam heated.
- Consider attending the SEN-friendly Santa Trains on December 6th and 14th for a more relaxed experience with fewer passengers.
- Check the 'Locomotive Roster' page up to two weeks in advance to see which engine is planned for your journey.
- Arrive at your designated boarding station (Llanfair Caereinion or Welshpool Raven Square) with enough time to board, as trains cannot be held for latecomers.
